The loft ceiling fan...

It's operated by remote control...

We planned the height so it was easy to replace the bulbs without needing a huge ladder!

Good thought. A great way to get that trapped heat off the ceiling, when it is hot or cold.

You were a lot smarter than us w/ the ceiling fans! We have one in our 2 story living room - I don't think a ladder exists to get us up that high! I'm going to have to get one of those grabber things to change those bulbs! Glad you're back w/ updates.
What's the projected move date??

Well, I always hated changing the bulbs back in CT and that ceiling fan was 15/16 feet and didn't hang anywhere near the loft. It was such a pain to haul out the big ladder.

We could have gone a foot higher on this one and still managed, but at this height I can use my little step stool and be done in 2 minutes!

We really did learn a lot living in the old log home for so many years. We had a " wish list" of things when it came to designing the new log home floor plan.
