The exterior being stained...

These pictures speak for themselves!!!

We think the color is perfect...
Exactly how we wanted it to look!

And best of all it's done before Winter...Had we waited until Spring we'd need to scrub all the grey spots before we could even think about the stain. This way we are protected going in to the first winter.

This is a BIG load off our minds! And the fact that it's exactly what we wanted is wonderful! Sometimes it's so hard to tell what a stain will look like on the home.

Are you back home now? Everyone up here has been asking where you are and when you will return to Texas!
We had a wonderful time showing you and Karen around Schrader Landing...

Shelley,
The stain is Sikkens Cetol SRD in the cedar color. This was the stain recommended by Lok N Logs and although we did have other choices, we decided to follow their recommendation.

We started out with an "extra" log in May and did 6 color samples (provided by Lok N Log free) and then left the log outside throughout the rainy period just to see the protection level. We were happy with the results. And the cedar color turned out to be perfect.

Yes we are pleased with it!
