One month of blogging...

Well, this is our Blog's one month anniversary (and Rick and I are happily celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary today.)

We've come along way...(back on May 28 they laid the first course of logs). The most recent pictures show how far we've come in only a month.

We've been in North Country just about 3 months (3 months and 11 days actually) and Rick and Andy began clearing the land pretty much the first week we were up here (with snow still on the ground). I am filled with a sense of awe that we have come so far in building our dream home in such a short time. The land feels like home. It's been a series of "milestones" along the way.

Our builders have been a pleasure to work with AND a fun-loving bunch of perfectionists! We couldn't ask for a better group and we know our log home is going to reflect those that built it as much it reflects the personality that Rick and I wanted for our home.

The blog will continue...I hope everyone continues to enjoy the journey...

Thanks Michael...and yes the house continues to grow each day. That Genie "ride" was the greatest!

After we came down and I started looking at the pics I'd taken I thought gee......I should have turned around and taken more views. I was so focused on the house that I missed what might have been some excellent aeriel views of the land.
