The maple plank flooring saga begins...

I say saga because this process is long and involved and going in one board at a time. The furthest portion had already been laid by the builders so we could set the toilet on something solid.

This is the finished bathroom floor. It all went very smoothly considering we are living in the house and have to keep the dogs off the wet finish for about 24 hours.

I love how rustic the flooring looks. Great job in picking it out.

Waves HI to Denise! I'm glad I didn't lose all my readers while I disappeared for a month!

I'm glad you like the floor. We do too. Rick's brother calls it "dramatic" and I certainly agree!

(Of course I'm biased - I love our maple hardwood floor too!)

Hi Shell! And yes I know you like the maple floors.

It is keeping us busy. Rick tries to do a little each day. I am tired of the constant sawdust covering everything! But, we really love the results so I guess I just learn to live with it for the next few months.
