Here's the wood stove! See it has our name on it? This stove came from Bethany and we have used it for 30 years! It opens and has a screen so you can enjoy the beauty of the fire when not using it for heat!
The blocks will be covered in Buck's County Limestone. And Mike will be building us a wonderful hearth for the stove to sit on!

Okay - so I'm looking at your cool wood burning stove and having a sense of deja vous - like I've seen something similiar! And then I remembered - Terri at Steel Magnolia has one kind of like yours! Check it out:

I'm rushing right over to Steel Magnolia right now...Yes, I've been visiting Terri's site (on and off as time permits) so this is a great time to check it out again.
Thanks...
You are right, the wood stoves are very similar. She didn't mention who the manufacturer of her's was. But, her's is fantastic! The carvings on her door are much more intricate than ours.
Shellmo sent me..
and she's right!! Our wood burning stove is very similar!
You have a beautiful cabin!!
OMG!! I need to come back when I have more time to get some ideas!!
Oh, at the bottom of our stove, it says Hurricane...
not sure if that is the name of the manufacturer... we were wondering if it were made in Hurricane, Utah???
Hi Terri and welcome to Schrader Landing.
Your stove is fantastic, I love the carvings on the doors. It appears larger than ours and we don't have the blowers or the capability to burn coal.
I believe Hurricane is the manufacturer of your stove but I don't know if it's made in UT.
Ours is made by Schrader Fireplace, and I believe they are no longer in business.
I love your log home too! Exactly where is Beaver???
hello rick and diane. glad to see you are in your new log home finally. kim and i feel like we have been on vacation ever since we moved into your previous log home. it's like a small slice of heaven on earth. it's friday the 19th and we have already had about 8-10 inches of snow. the yard and home look so beautiful covered in a pure white blanket of snow. hope you both enjoy the new home as much as we enjoy ours. with love, kim and marty t.
Hi.. Our schrader stove came with the house been using it 3+ years now no issues. Think its an early 80's vintage...looks exactly like the one in ur pictures. Does your have gaskets on inside of doors?
