All of the windows...

All the windows have the wooden slat inserts. We haven't managed to sort them all out yet and figure out which goes where. Then we have to find the paint to match the exterior color...and we are still unsure of what color stain to use inside.

But the good news is that the inserts are all pre-assembled and have a spring loaded holding pin.

And I must add that the window stickers (in evidence in all the pics) JUST PEEL RIGHT OFF!!! Obviously someone heard my complaints about the hours of work getting those stickers off.

Lots of windows...

Our basement stairs...

These are awesome stairs. Nice and wide and boxed in. We think the dogs will even go down them. In Bethany we had open backed stairs and the dogs would NEVER venture down. This will be a very nice change.

A view from the first floor down.

This is a view of the back of the house...

It's hard to get pics from back there. It's 3 stories high, AND...there is a drop off down a hill full of trees that blocks the view.

Our first window...oh what fun!

From the inside...

From the outside...

Back to the garage...

The back wall is framed. This will be a saltbox style garage.

We spent Saturday clearing piles of sawdust and wood chips. And organizing leftover wood into piles by size and shape

This first roof rafter has been taken down and will be used as a template for the rest of the rafters.
